Every title, every label, every number in a Man Explains Everything video is drawn in one alphabet. It was inked by hand, one letter at a time, for the sole purpose of shouting at you about volcanoes. Until now it existed only inside the films.

Here it is as a proper font. Install it. Type in it. Put it on anything.

WHY THIS IS FREE
Because a font is not the point.

The point is that somebody, somewhere, wants to explain something and has quietly decided they are not allowed to. They think you need a studio, a budget, a degree in animation, and permission from somebody important. You need none of it. This entire channel is drawings on cream paper, one voice, and a stubborn refusal to let a good fact go unexplained. That is the whole apparatus. That is all it has ever been.

So here is the alphabet. Take it.

Put it on a classroom poster about the water cycle. Put it on a video about why your town sits exactly where it sits. Put it on a diagram of the thing your students keep getting wrong, the one you have explained eleven times out loud and never once in a picture.

If you teach, use it. If you are fourteen and building something in your bedroom that nobody has asked for, use it. If you have spent thirty years in a trade that everyone describes incorrectly, use it and set them straight.

The world has no shortage of things worth explaining. It has a serious shortage of people willing to sit down and explain one properly, without shouting, without selling anything, and without pretending it is simpler than it is.

Be one of them.

The font is the easy bit.

WHAT YOU GET
A .ttf that installs on Windows and on Mac, the same single file for both. A .woff2 for your website. Install notes written for humans. A licence you can actually read.

WHAT IS IN IT
A to Z. 0 to 9. Full stop, comma, colon, apostrophe, hyphen, exclamation mark, question mark, ampersand, per cent, dollar.

READ THIS BIT
It is capitals only. There are no lowercase letters and there never were, because cartoon titles do not have any. Type in lowercase and it comes out in capitals anyway, so nothing is broken and nothing is missing. If that ruins your plans, your plans were load-bearing on a font, you magnificent decorative gourd.

The letters wobble. The baseline is not ruled. The strokes are uneven. That is not a defect, that is a drawing. If you want it perfectly straight, you want a different font and possibly a different personality.
